I have worked in the Canadian telecom industry since 1992, holding numerous positions in operations, sales and customer service with AT&T Canada, Allstream, T-Systems, Zayo (who purchased Allstream in 2016) and most recently Rogers.

I’ve sold, implemented and supported complex network services for Canadian, North American and global Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 clients for over 25 years. Some of those services include high bandwidth, low latency Layer 1 (Wavelength, Dark Fiber, SONET/SDH) and Layer 2 (Ethernet, IP) services, VPN, SIP trunking, managed and unmanaged WAN/LAN services, Cloud Services and Data Centre Colocation services, and much more.
“Why does this matter to me and why should I care?”
Well, quite simply, I have also been a consumer of sales and marketing content from other telcos (AT&T, Verizon, CenturyLink, BT, Bell, Rogers, Telus, etc.) or hardware vendors (Cisco, Ciena, Alcatel-Lucent). In fact, reading and digesting those white papers, brochures and case studies formed the basis of my decision-making when determining how to position a particular product or service with a client, or how to support a service once it’s been installed.
“How does this make you qualified to write?”
I’ve written technical reports and user guides, created PowerPoint numerous presentations for senior executives, and managed content on an Intranet site.
I have been honing my writing skills since 2010, when I became a member of American Writers & Artists Institute.
The programs I have successfully completed include “How to Write White Papers”, “Writing Case Studies”, “Creating Email Newsletters for Professional Services Firms”, “Website Audits Made Simple”, and many more.
